Some examples of typical bridge launching projects:
Incremental launching of steel superstructure crossing lake Savonlinna.
Mass: 1850 ton
Equipment: 10 nos strand jacks T15-S18
Length: 350 m
Our method for moving and launching of bridges is well proven. The bridge section(s) are placed behind the anchorage on the launch plane where they are welded together into a continuous unit. Launching can take place with the help of our strand jack anchored to the front wall of the mooring or via launch track with the help of our IP-CCV units. The launch takes place in stages with one section at a time. The work progresses until the entire span of the bridge is launched, after which the bridge is lowered and anchored in its permanent bridge brackets.
